Bill joined the Air Force during the Vietnam War at the age of 17. After graduating from the United States Air Force Academy, he served in the military for 10 years. He spent the last four years flying the F-15 jet fighter out of Germany.
After being honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force, Dr. Clifford pursued medical studies, eventually becoming an eye surgeon. 25 years ago, Dr. Clifford and his wife Jean moved to Garden City where he located his practice.
Bill and Jean Clifford were drawn to our western Kansas way of life and chose to dedicate their lives to our communities. They consider each and every one of their six children to be a gift from God. Their children all began their college careers at the outstanding Garden City Community College and subsequently attended KU and K-State, among others.
Bill and his wife Jean chose Garden City to build their business, raise their family, and build lifelong friendships. Southwest Kansas is near and dear to their hearts, and we can count on Bill to fight for us in the Kansas House just like he’s fought for our freedom oversees, our health here at home, and our best interests in local elected office.
